Recent Review

Excellent position for Beach with great views. We were lucky to have great weather for our stay in Scarborough, the house was large and well equipped with great views of the sea and castle. The decor would probably appeal to a certain taste. We were only 5 mins walk from Alpamare water park which for a family is worth the money, the beach was a couple of minutes walk as was the bus stop to the South Bay where the amusements and town are. Plenty in the area to keep a family busy for a week we could have easily found enough to do for another week. A lovely holiday, the children were sad to leave.

Description

From £394 per week. Great sea and castle views from this stylish, spacious 3-bedroom detached house. It's affordable for a family and welcomes smaller numbers off-peak who can stay at a discount. No there isn't a catch.

This truly delightful holiday house has plenty of private on-site parking, and is only five minutes' walk to the clean, sandy beach, the famous Open Air Theatre and Award-winning Peasholm Park. Just across the road from the fantastic new Waterpark and also very handy for public transport into Town, or to catch an open-top bus round Marine Drive..

You approach The Beach House up a short inclined drive (no gate at the bottom). There's private parking at the top for 2 or 3 cars.

From the parking area you enter the house through an inviting sun room. Adjacent is the kitchen - well-equipped with dishwasher, toaster, microwave, electric cooker and hob, washing machine, fridge/freezer, a second fridge/ice box, clothes airer and iron with board.

The hallway off the kitchen gives access to the stairs, the lounge and the dining room.

Occupying the south-eastern corner of the house and with wide picture windows is the gorgeous lounge. Here you have three sofas, bean bag, coffee tables and fireplace with electric fire, TV, DVD player, CD player, digital radio and great armchair views of the sea, castle and the castle headland.

Next to the lounge, and with similar scenic views, is the separate dining room with table and chairs for six.

Also on the ground floor is a useful cloak room - ideal for hanging and storing outdoor gear - complete with WC and hand washbasin.

Upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms and the main bathroom.

Two of the bedrooms sit at the front of the house and have enchanting sea and castle views.
The gorgeous large master bedroom is dressed to impress with a SuperKing-size 4-poster bed.
The second front room is equally spacious and is a dreamy double with windows at the south-east corner framing glorious seaside views.
The third bedroom is a charming twin-bedded room with lovely garden views.

All bedrooms are tastefully furnished with wardrobe, hanging space, bedside cabinets and drawers.

The upstairs bathroom has a bath with electric shower over and hand washbasin. Adjacent is a separate WC.

Fab' retro' touches remind you of the property's 1950's origins ....there's even a hint of mid-20th-Century Hollywood glamour.

The Beach House is a substantial, welcoming seaside house offering lots of privacy that would suit a 3-generation family or 2 couples.

The whole family loved the holiday. We were a family group of four generations. Beach house fitted all our criteria. Loved our early evening strolls to feed the squirrels in Peasholm Park. So much to do in Scarborough and the surrounding area. Would love to come back again. 5/5.
Would recommend property and come again. Good family accommodation near to beach, park, pools and amenities. Well equipped, good kitchen and wash facilities, comfortable lounge. we were there for a family get together... location by the park and sea was important. Very useful outside and beach equipment and good store in the porch. would welcome fixed stair gate.
Great location with a great view of the Castle. Only 5mins walk to the Northbay and Peasholm park on doorstep. Great size house suited 3 generations.plenty of space for everyone. Bonus extra the little conservatory and separate dining room. Overall great location for north bay, quiet, comfortable lovely house. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay there again.
Great house. We had a lovely stay. Plenty of room for several adults and in a great North Bay location, quiet but within easy reach of the town centre and of course, the coast road to the South Bay.
An excellent property A lovely, comfortable house with parking for three cars. We have already asked to book it again next year.
