A truly lovely place to stay.....Sept 2019...The apartment is stylish, clean and well maintained. It is located in the most beautiful part of Scarborough within easy reach of the lift to the Spa. It is equipped with everything you might need and lots of instructions to ensure you can work the heating, speakers, TV etc. Worth every penny.


One of only a few self-catering properties on Scarborough’s Esplanade. Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and has 2 bathrooms.

Free linen, towels, WiFi + parking permits to park in the vicinity.

Gorgeous, sumptuous, up-market holiday apartment, with a southerly aspect.

Perfect for a special break for a couple or for a small family group with older children or grandparent.

All in all first-class self-catering at a surprisingly reasonable price. . Don't miss this opportunity.


This apartment is on the upper ground floor with a few steps down into the communal entrance then a few more (or the lift) up to the level of the flat’s entrance.

You open the flat door into a hallway off which are all the main rooms. The flat itself is on one level.

All rooms are light and airy and there are 2 walk-in showers.


The huge high-ceilinged lounge is beautifully presented with an Adam-style fireplace and quality soft furnishings.

Sink into one of the sofas, or drink in the sea view from the armchair by the bay window.

Reading lamps, TV, CD, books and games add to the relaxed holiday feel.

Towards the rear is a spacious dining area complete with a big oak dining table and 6 chairs.


The kitchen is attractive with a tall window giving open views over gardens and along the Esplanade. Lots of units and workspace.

All the kitchen equipment you would expect at this standard is here, including a fridge-freezer and a dishwasher.

For longer stays you will find the washer, iron, board and airers very handy.


The bedrooms are extremely roomy, well-furnished and inviting.

The MASTER BEDROOM has the wow factor. Spacious, high ceilinged and bright, with sea and Esplanade views from the big window.

Guest will love the Super King-size bed, the easy chair in the window and the generous size of this room.

The SECOND BEDROOM is also large. Furnished with twin beds, cabinets, reading lamps and lots of storage space in wardrobes and drawers. ....and en-suite is a very smart fully-tiled shower room with enclosed shower, WC and hand wash basin.


In addition to the en-suite shower room, there’s a really classy main shower room with enclosed corner shower, WC and washbasin.


Small communal front paved area and rear utility yard*.

Although the flat does not have its own outdoor space you are spoilt for choice in this area. No shortage of green and pleasant space to sit, picnic or sunbathe. You are only yards from beautiful South Cliff and Italian Gardens. The garden pathways leading down to the beach are dotted with benches and pretty wooden shelters.


Beds are made up with linen to suit the season and all towels including tea-towels are provided.

Please supply your own swimming /beach towels.

Wifi. Cable TV Netflix and Amazon Prime.


The property owners supply FREE PERMITS that allow round-the-clock parking in the vicinity of the flat.

Permits for ONE vehicle are automatically provided for the duration of your stay. Further permits at the property owner's discretion if requested well in advance.

You can invariably get parked nearby even in high-season.

NOTE:  There is unrestricted parking only a couple of hundred yards away further south on the Esplanade (always check local signs).




Situated right on Scarborough’s famous Esplanade, with its glorious sea views.

The Esplanade skirts the South Cliff area which is regarded as the quieter side of Town.


The apartment is across the road from the Cliff Lift – which takes you quickly from the Esplanade down to the Spa Theatre, South Beach and Foreshore.

Alternatively, you can walk down one of the gently winding woodland pathways - perhaps pausing at the Clock Cafe or one of the many viewpoints along the way.

The Spa Theatre is the venue for a wide variety of events including the famous Open-Air Orchestral Concerts.

Scarborough’s Town Centre is reached on foot in 10 minutes via the Spa Footbridge ...or by car across Valley Bridge in 5 minutes. The Foreshore and Harbour are a further few minutes distant.
In the vicinity of the apartment are hotels serving good food, and providing excellent leisure facilities (day passes can be obtained).

At Ramshill (10 mins walk inland) are take-aways, restaurants, cafes, a post office, a pharmacy and convenience stores.

The nearest 24-hour supermarket & Railway/Bus Station are about 1/2 mile distant.
Places to visit within an hour’s drive include the North York Moors National Park, the historic city of York and the picturesque and fascinating Whitby & Robin Hood's Bay.


Scarborough Esplanade Apartment is heated by a new, effective gas central heating system.

Always warm and welcoming whatever the season, and with plenty of hot water on tap.

*Smokers in the party are not permitted to smoke indoors but will find the rear yard handy.

Scarborough Esplanade Apartment..... Having used Bedwyns many times for our stays in scarborough I would definitely give this apartment 5 stars. The property was beautiful and very specious, spotlessly clean,and comfortable. It is situated in a prime position on the Esplanade and close to the lift down South Cliff and within walking distance to the town. The owner was very helpful and friendly and rang us to make sure we had settled in okay. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and we look forward to returning.

Great base for exploring Scarborough....The apartment is in a great location, on the Esplanade with its stunning views and walks down to the South Bay. Furnished to a high standard, the apartment had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Booking was handled efficiently and I would not hesitate to book with Bedwyn’s in the future.
Just had a few days at Scarborough Esplanade apartment couldn't fault a thing ,everything you need and more, very spacious ,comfy bed all mod cons my other arf impressed by the tv( lol) ,great location will definitely visit again .the owner wilf phoned on the first day to see everything was ok .great welcome pack explaining how everythin works fab fab fab ....jayne and tom xx booked a few times with bedwyns easy bookings and great holiday lets and prices
Wonderful flat with great location Review March 2019. Enjoyed a wonderful stay at this sumptuous flat. Beautifully decorated throughout in a panoramic location atop the south cliff and conveniently near to shops and restaurants- also reasonably close to both the bus and train station. The weather was both wet and cold during our stay but the flat was well heated and comfortable throughout. Host was welcoming and most helpful.
A Great Stay in a Stunning Apartment!..... My family and I had a lovely week around Easter, staying in this superb apartment. Brilliantly and tastefully furnished and decorated accommodation that suited us perfectly. The second bathroom makes it ideal for getting us all through showers each morning. Just a lovely place to be - we had planned lots of activities around the area, but chose some days to just stay and chill at the apartment! A true home from home.
Holiday for a week....Lovely apartment.there everything we need there. Lovely sea view from bedroom. Only 10 minutes to the shops. Cliff lift just across the road. A man came to check to see if everything ok.
A very good apartment, well equipped and in an excellent location, near to the Spa and shops, including a supermarket, Italian restaurant and a really excellent fish and chip shop.
Comfortable relaxing stay..........A spacious, well furnished and equipped apartment. Having an ensuite plus bathroom was good. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable, with many extras provided. Located near the cliff lift down to the South Bay and Spa. Parking nearby, with permits provided which was much appreciated. The owner (Wilf) contacted us to make sure everything was okay. Would definitely recommend this property.
