5 NIGHTS CHRISTMAS £386 - 4 GUESTS. With a sea view from the big bay sash windows, and less than 5 minutes walk from both the cliff lift to the beach in one direction and Ramshill shops in the other direction, this first floor flat makes an ideal South Cliff base. Just a short walk from the Town Centre, Foreshore and Railway Station.
Guests will love the original plaster mouldings, high ceilings and large windows, and the clean modern style. The emphasis is on space and light in this Victorian former gentleman’s residence.
Unique photo-canvases dotted through the property highlight aspects of the surrounding landscape.
The main entrance (shared with just two other flats) takes you into the stairwell, then up 2 short flights of stairs to Sea Heights. Once through the front door the hallway has a large store cupboard with coat hanging space. Doors to all rooms open from the hallway.
LARGE LOUNGE WITH SCENIC VIEWS
The large lounge/diner, with dining table and chairs in the bay window to take advantage of the sea view, has two large leather sofas, feature coal-effect fireplace, TV and DVD player and iPod docking station as well as books and games in case of bad weather. Facing North, the bay window gets the sunlight both first thing in the morning as the sun rises in the East and then again in late afternoon early evening as the sun moves round.
The large chef’s window opens up to the compact but well equipped kitchen next door, with washing machine, fridge (with small ice/freezing compartment), microwave, double oven/grill and hob.
MASTER BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE
Guests using the big master bedroom will enjoy the en-suite facilities; a hand washbasin and an enclosed cubicle with power shower. The king-size bed is finished with quality bed linen. A wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, reading lamps and long mirror complete this lovely room. Situated at the back of the house it gets the sun through the morning.
The second bedroom, at the front of the house, is simply furnished with 2 ft 6 in twin beds, bedside cabinet with reading lamp, and a wardrobe with fitted drawers.
The main bathroom with a modern white suite has a double-ended bath with hand-held shower attachment, and is fitted with a wooden airer over the bath – ideal for drying swimming costumes after a day at the beach.
EXTRA STORAGE AREA
For any more extreme sports there is also a separate hanging or storage area, down one flight of stairs from the flat's door - next to the fire escape. Ideal for surfboards or soggy waterproofs should you be unlucky with the weather on the Yorkshire moors or coast, the lobby is fitted with vinyl flooring and has more hanging pegs than you will need!
Sea Heights is fitted with electric panel radiators as well as the coal-effect fire in the feature fireplace and all hot water and heating is included, as are towels and linen (please bring your own beach towels).
24-hour permits for on-street parking are provided on arrival, sufficient for 1 vehicle for the duration of your stay. One small well-behaved dog is welcome (but not on the furniture) – perfect as the big South Cliff beach is dog-friendly all year round, a canine paradise at low tide! No charge is made for bringing your pet.

Situated in the South Cliff area of Scarborough.
A couple of minutes' walk to the glorious Esplanade, which skirts the South Cliff area. Close to the Cliff Lift – which takes you quickly from the Esplanade down to the Spa Theatre and South Beach. The Spa Theatre is the venue for a wide variety of events including the famous Open-Air Orchestral Concerts.
Alternatively you can walk to this area down one of the gently winding woodland pathways - perhaps pausing at the Clock Cafe or one of the many viewpoints along the way.
Scarborough’s vibrant Town Centre is reached on foot in 10-15 minutes via the Spa Footbridge ...or by car across Valley Bridge in 5 minutes.
The Foreshore and Harbour are a further few minutes distant.
In the vicinity of the flat are hotels serving good food, and providing excellent leisure facilities (day passes can be obtained)....and at nearby Ramshill are take-aways, restaurants, cafes, a post office, a pharmacy and convenience stores.
The nearest 24-hour supermarket & Railway/Bus Station are less 1/2 mile distant.
Places to visit within an hour’s drive include the North York Moors National Park, the historic city of York and the picturesque and fascinating Whitby & Robin Hood's Bay.
