We have just arrived back from our weeks stay in this bungalow and I can't recommend it highly enough. Well equipped warm clean with views which are second to none. This is the second year we have booked through Bedwyns and cannot fault from start to finish. Brilliant week

This 2-bedroomed bungalow shares this wonderful location with similar properties, but has its own parking space and private outdoor space.

You enter into a useful hall which takes you to the kitchen or lounge

The kitchen is really pretty and generously-equipped with washing machine, fridge with ice box compartment.... and has a clear wide view of Cayton Bay.

The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating, large flat-screen TV, DVD player, coffee tables, lamps and an electric fire.

Patio doors extend the full width of the lounge opening onto a private patio area with bench and giving magnificent views of Cayton Bay and beyond.

The two welcoming double bedrooms have fitted mirrored sliding door wardrobes, bedside cabinets and drawers.

The bathroom has WC, basin and a bath with electric shower over.

Cosy and warm with heating by electric storage heaters and additional instant heaters.

Private secluded patio with bench and folding furniture.

The grounds are communal, very well-maintained and the gardens have won a Gold Award for their design and colour.

The pond and trickling waterfall make a lovely focal point

(NOTE: this is un-fenced so children would need to be supervised).

What's provided?

Bed-linen is provided free and there are no charges for utilities or parking.

(Please bring your own towels).

Sorry no WiFi router but previous visitors have accessed the internet on 3G or 4G or used their BT Mobile Broadband to access a hotspot from Beach View.

One well-behaved small to medium dog allowed at no extra charge.

You have a private, designated parking space within a few yards.... and further visitor parking nearby.

Knipe Point is a headland separating Cayton Bay from Cornelian Bay... just off the old Filey to Scarborough Coast Road approximately 2 miles south of Scarborough Town Centre and 4 miles north of Filey.

What's nearby?

You can enjoy strolling around the beautiful communal gardens, where you will find seating areas and a Carp Pond.

Deer and other wildlife often venture into the gardens from the adjoining National Trust woodland.

Towards the seaward end of the headland is a gateway giving access to the Cleveland Way as it follows the cliff tops to Scarborough...or the woodland paths leading to Cayton Bay beach...

There's a (new) convenience store, pizza take-away, and a hair salon a few hundred yards away. The local pub is 10 -15 mins walk away. Post Office & Fish & Chips are 1 mile distant at Cayton Village or Eastfield. A Supermarket (24-hour Tesco) can be found just before you reach Scarborough Centre about 1 3/4 miles north.

Eating Out?

Nearest pub, The Poacher's Barn (which serves food every day) is about 3/4 mile away.

Further information

The paths to the beach are steep in places and can be slippery in wet weather...but there is an alternative surfaced path/steps to Cayton Bay only 1/4 mile further down the coast.

Regular buses run into Town from a bus-stop a few hundred yards away... or there is a Park & Ride about 1/2 mile away.

NOTE: Unfenced Carp pond in centre of site.. young children would need supervision.

Smoking not permitted indoors.

A lovely cottage with a fabulous review This was our first time staying at this cottage and we were so pleased with the view, we were lucky with the weather so the patios doors were rarely shut. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds and seating were comfortable. As a family we know Scarborough well and this cottages position provides an excellent base for visiting Scarborough, Filey and the local villages.
After just returning from our 11th stay it is safe to say we love this property. From the stunning views of Cayton Bay from the lounge window, the cleanliness, everything you need in the property, parking space, on site caretaker should you need anything, ability to take the dog and every day visits from the squirrels and birds (providing you feed them) this property has everything. The only drawback if you have a dog is that there is no enclosed garden but there are lovely walks to the beach. Back again later in the year.
Very nice stay. Felt like home from home. Nice quiet estate, and bungalow has great views of the sea.
A special place to stay, so good we went back!!! This is one of the very best places to choose for a holiday. The quality and comfort provided drew us back. A place in which to rest, plenty of places to explore from, with wonderful views. Altogether an exceptional holiday.
Everything you need and more. Real home from home relaxing accommodation with fantastic views yet close to amenities of Scarborough. Accommodation clean and well presented with everything you need for an enjoyable break. Lovely walks along the cliff tops followed by relaxing afternoons sat out on the patio taking in the view and watching the wildlife.
