No visit to Scarborough’s north side is complete without a stroll through Peasholm Park.
This beautifully-tended Oriental-themed park dates from 1912 but has recently had a make-over with new facilities added for 2018.
It’s the venue for a variety of smaller-scale events, including classical and folk concerts and open-air film shows and features a Naval Warfare Display each summer.
You can boat on the wonderful lake, play pitch & putt and explore extensive parkland and tree-trails.
There’s plenty of seating, and acres of open grassy space (great for picnics), two cafes and an ice-cream kiosk.
Close to the beach, North Bay Railway and the Open Air Theatre.
