THE BAY. This is a newly-created holiday village of beautiful Cottages and Apartments with frontage onto Filey Bay.. just to the south of the resort of Filey. Visitors enjoy private access to the beach and a warm welcome and great food at the Pub/Restaurant on this picturesque site.
Our superior VisitBritain Inspected properties, together with the Blue Flag Beach, and unobtrusive on-site security, give holiday-makers a quality experience and complete peace-of-mind.
This 150 acre parkland site is still under development (the Spa, In/Outdoor Pools and Tennis Courts are planned for 2010) but it already provides a delightful setting to spend your holiday. We are offering these top-quality properties at extra low prices for their first year of letting..
Bring your bike and pedal to the sea along THE BAY'S private beach road...... launch your dinghy from the flat sandy beach..... stroll to the pub for an evening meal on village streets lit by Victorian-style Street Lanterns....THE BAY is just as suitable for a romantic break for two as it is for a family beach holiday and is open all year... ............Sorry there are no caravans on site and no rides or amusement arcades.
The seaside town of Filey is unspoilt & traditional...smaller and less busy than its famous neighbour Scarborough. The 6 mile stretch of Filey Bay is bounded to the north by the mile-long natural breakwater of Filey Brigg and to the south by Bempton Cliffs (an RSPB Reserve). Just off the A165 Coast Road it is the perfect base for trips to the other Yorkshire Coast resorts such as Scarborough (7mN) Robin Hood's Bay(25mN) and Whitby (30mN). The North York Moors National Park and Yorkshire Wolds are inland by a couple of miles. Pickering (N Y M Steam Railway) is 20 mins away by car and the historic city of York is less an hour's drive west.
Filey has something to suit all ages; plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants in the Town Centre... safe beaches and donkey rides .. or The Promenade, and the many well-tended public gardens and parks for a scenic stroll. .......DC JULY 2009 .
